उत्तर प्रदेश सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग इकलौता विभाग है जो बिना बजट के खींचा जा रहा है...!! विभाग ने दो से ढाई माह पहले अनुपूरक अनुदान के तहत सरकारी योजनाओं के प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु बजट की मांग की थी। सूचना विभाग से बजट की मांग का प्रस्ताव/पत्रावली भी तैयार करके भेजी गई ... लेकिन लोक भवन के लोक मैं बजट की मांग की पत्रावली कहां गुप्त गोदावरी हो गई पता ही नहीं चला....!! जबकि इसके विपरीत विगत वित्तीय वर्ष मैं सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग को 500 करोड़ का अनुपूरक बजट आवंटित हुआ था और इस बार "महाभारत के संजय" कथा सुना ही न पाए और बजट के मद में कागज के चाय वाले कप एक बराबर भी बजट न मिला....!!! न्यूज चैनलों व प्रिंट मीडिया का मार्केटिंग स्टाफ पूरा दिन सूचना विभाग, उत्तर प्रदेश के गेट पर खड़ा चार की छह चाय कटिंग करके पीता रहता है और बजट पर सड़क पर चर्चा करता है...!! बजट का "प्रसाद" इस बार न आने से पूरे सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग में अजीब सा सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ है। 

ऐसा सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग की स्थापना से लेकर अब तक पहले कभी नहीं हुआ कि विभाग ने बजट मांगा और वह न आया...!!! यह खेल किसने खेला और इस खेल के पीछे की मंशा क्या है यह सब एक रहस्य है...!!! यह सब तब है जबकि 2027 में उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव की ओर जा रहा है...!!
